About Us
Our review program has helped hundreds of candidates pass their NCLEX® examinations with confidence. Our reviewers have a combined experience of over 30 years in bedside nursing and nursing education. We believe that the NCLEX® candidate must apply a simple nursing process (APIE) when preparing for the examination. The candidate must:
Assess - Do a self-assessment
Plan - Find a review program
Intervene - Attend review sessions
Evaluate - Take examinations to determine readiness to take the board exam
APIE Review Center is committed to helping our students achieve their foremost goal of passing the NCLEX® examination and becoming full-fledged nurses.
The Next Generation NCLEX® (NGN)
The NGN launched on April 1, 2023 to better measure nursing candidates’ clinical judgment and decision making abilities through the use of innovative item types. The need to measure this stemmed from information gathered during the 2013-2014 NCSBN Strategic Practice Analysis, which showed newly licensed nurses are increasingly expected to make complex decisions while caring for patients. The modifications effective April 1, 2023 include:
*Experimental items have been reintroduced. Each candidate will get 15 experimental items in their exam. These questions are indistinguishable from the other questions on the test.
*Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) will still be used.
*The minimum number of test items will be 85.
*The maximum number of test items will be 150.
*The maximum examination time is five hours.
*The Next Generation Scoring Models will be used.
